- Jobstel is accessed by sending SMS text messages from your mobile phone to the following SMS short code:
- To receive Jobstel text alerts, simply send a text message starting with the word FILTER, followed by your key words, to 60011.
- The FILTER request uses a simple query language to determine which job vacancies you will receive.
- By default, a job vacancy must contain all of your key words for you to receive it.
- The word OR may be placed between key words to indicate alternatives.
- A minus sign may be placed in front of a key word to indicate that it must not be present.
- A phrase which contains more than one word should be enclosed in quotes.
- Here is an example which uses all of the above:
FILTER contract "software engineer" unix OR linux c OR c++ surrey OR "west sussex" -brighton
- The FILTER request is not case sensitive.
- To change your criteria just send another text message starting with the word FILTER to 60011.
- Every FILTER request we receive is read and processed by a human being.
- You will receive an acknowledgement text message from Jobstel when your FILTER request has been processed.
